16:15 a-l-ancien-regime: Ceiling  by Joseph Rose in the staircase at Claydon House, 1767-68. Claydon was built by Ralph, 2nd earl Verney (1712-91), between 1754 and 1791.  The stucco decorations are by Joseph Rose (1767-68) and form a continuous festoon on the walls and from which hang medallions, lamps and trophies.
